Michael, how long have you been a resident of San Jose?
I’m 29 years old, I was born in San Francisco and moved straight down here into San Jose, South San Jose, so I guess 29 years.. It’s kind of a long time.
Definitely. So, what do you like to do for entertainment in your free time?
For entertainment I like to entertain myself and stay medicated. If you know what I mean.
What do you mean?
Mota. If you don’t know what mota is, that’s marijuana in Spanish. I also go out, I take long walks on the beach (laughs) have a drink every now and then, nothing too crazy. Just enjoy my time, relax, after serving drinks myself cause I’m actually a bartender. That’s my life, get people drunk and then get drunk after.
Awesome. I’ve noticed you have a pretty cool bike, and you like to go on bike parties, right? What’s that like?
Well the bike parties (coughs) sorry I was medicating myself right now. Bike parties are awesome, it’s every 3rd Friday of the month. We have different themes every month. We have a website that we go on, sjbikeparty.org. They don’t post the meet spot till the night before cause cops and everything like that, you know, get in our business. Just don’t wanna blow it up… Every 3rd Friday of the month, sjbikeparty.org.
That’s cool. What were some recent themes you did?
Couple weeks ago it was 80’s theme, before that it was a jungle ride, we’ve had rave rides. \We actually had a no pants ride, but it’s not what you think though. You can pretty much wear anything but pants. Kilts, shorts, or whatever just no pants.
Shorts are still ok huh? OK. Well what’s your favorite time in San Jose?
My favorite time of year is actually right now in August.
It’s not August, it’s October.
O shit, it is October now, it is the first of the month though– I got tricked, fooled me. But august though. August is my birthday, football season starts. But I’m actually kind of sad right now because Sunday was the last Giants game. San Francisco Giants. They didn’t make it to the play offs this year. It’s alright though ‘cause we’re gonna rebuild next year.
Yeah I mean we’ve already got two down in the last 3 or 4 years.
Yeah. It’s ok though. The A’s are in it, so at least they can represent for the Bay Area, nothing wrong with that. The Raider’s though, that’s a whole different thing. I dunno. I dunno about that, but the A’s yeah, Raider’s I duhnahhh. So go A’s I guess.
